March 6, 2019 @ York Recreation Centre
The Service Coordination Action Group organized the TWLIP Year-End Event that took place on March 6 from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm at the York Recreation Centre. 37 TWLIP members and representatives of TWLIP member organizations were present as well as 4 TWLIP staff. The event was held because members expressed their desire to get together to network, to learn about and celebrate LIP activities for the 2018 – 19 program year.
The event was very successful! When asked to rate their overall satisfaction with the event, out of 27 responses, 22 people rated the event as “excellent” (5/5) and 5 people rated the event as “good” (4/5). While all activities received very favourable ratings, the Land Acknowledgement by a guest presenter and the Ice Breaker Activity were rated the highest. Other activities included: interactive presentations by the 4 TWLIP action groups, a speed networking activity and a review of some highlights from the TWLIP evaluation survey.
TWLIP members received Certificates of Appreciation and enjoyed a raffle and a special cake. There were many positive comments on the feedback forms including that members valued the opportunity to network and found the event to be “interactive”, “energy-filled”, “fun” and “engaging”! The Service Coordination Action Group is looking forward to organizing the Year-End Event for 2020.
